The Agates in Nature series: The Patriotic Agate

The Patriotic Agate

A spectacular agate washed out and sits along the bank of a creek with a resting Leopard frog (Tana pipens) the day after a heavy deluge. Tom Olson, one of the founders of Moose Lake Agate Days, found this 2.50-pound classic near Cloquet, Minnesota, in 1958.
